A year and a day

They sailed away for a year and a day...
and I've been blogging for a year and a day.
151 posts doesn't make a post a day,
but it's a new angle every three days.
I shall now celebrate by updating my template.

Doggy paddle

The man of the house is slowing returning to his normal M.O.T.H.-like self.
He managed a short walk yesterday, to the Indian restaurant and back, = two flights of stairs and at least 20 paces.
And today he took a short drive in the car, delivering myself and girls to the swimming pool.
At the pool, Strawberry swam for the first time, and also lost a tooth, not literally, we found it, and Miss T practised her social graces, turning ditching into a fine art.
Waiting for the bus to take us home we saw a young Irish setter dashing across the busy main road in front of us. One car had to brake hard and swerve to avoid her. We rounded her up and carried her, as she had no collar to hang on to, into a nearby garage. There we borrowed a long strap for a make-shift collar and lead and then we called the local police.
Keeping in mind we are next to a busy main road late on a Saturday afternoon, a fact I have pointed out to the police, guess what they told us to do with her?

All still alive... just, but not the bear

Monday starts...

For explanations about the bear

A bear with a sore head?

The first lot of anti-biotics didn't work,
so he's now on his second lot.
I daren't put a picture of him up,
I don't want to scare anyone,
and quite honestly the bear
looks in better shape.
Doesn't leave me much time for blogging,
but I'll post when I can.

8a.m. Friday

Left my work keys at home and had to walk back to pick them up,
but it was a beautiful morning for it.

"Glittery bits"

From the front and

from the side window of the car on the way home from riding today.

"There are bad times just around the corner,
There are dark clouds hurtling through the sky
And it's no good whining
About a silver lining
For we know from experience that they won't roll by"
Noel Coward

From now on no more doom and gloom from me.
I've shuk off that black doog
and my rosey specs are back on.
And one day I might explain the title

From tot to ten

Miss T. walked up to the boat with me last Saturday and helped pull it up out of the water and turn it over for the winter, but not untill we had broken the ice.
