Thank you Pooh, your lovely gift of an honourable mention on your blog and a view of the mementos of bygone family are deeply appreciated. I savour the coming morrow when I shall be able to investigate the big Jussi prezzy without waking everyone. Amy and Liam are staying over and Jon may be turning up tomorrow too. Have you looked at
http://arty-fax.blogspot.com/
yet? I would value your opinions.
Love and blessings to you all,
Carl.

No. Didn't realise there was a whole nother blog. Had very quick look and was instantly impressed and a little envious and understood that I must return tomorrow and look when I have more time. Greetings, love and blessings to all of you there.

What is a dolly?

Hi Pi,
A dolly, or more fully a corn-dolly is a traditional figure, token or pattern woven from the last stalks of corn from the harvest and left in the field as a good-luck charm to provide good harvests in following years.

Thanks Crowbard, I didn't know about them being left in fields.
