I prefer this year's tree to last year's, which was blue, but in daylight it looks rather strange. I have no idea why, but it has been decorated, appart from the red and white lights, with houses, large flat ones.
This was taken at the Christmas market a few weeks ago, but the ski slope, lit up in the background, reminds me that I have promised to take the girls skiing just as soon as we have moved all our stuff over into the new appartment, hopefully in a couple of days.
I am going to have to move the computer next, so I thought I'd leave you with a few more shots of winter here in the dark north. This is Strawbs with her sledge. In Swedish it's called a "spark" which means "kick", because you stand on the runners at the back and kick it along...

It looks beautiful, but cold (and great fun). By the way, please thank Freja for he card. Of the (so far) hundred and two cards we have received, hers is easily the best. Much love Pa. I am expecting Granny and Great Gran to return home this morning. Much love, Pa.
Hi, Ruth et al. We take it that you are now safely ensconced in the new flat. Hope all went well and that you are now settling in? Although when I was last asked that, honesty compelled me to reply that we were not so much settling down as silting up - already. Much love, the grandparents.
Good luck with the move and especially the 'puter. If it plays up just walk away for half a day - as I have been doing of late. Happy 2009 to you all.
Have thanked her Pa and yes we are in, but only just. I don't understand how we managed to get everything into just the 2 rooms. But we are slowly getting back to normal.
Thanks Pat, you too. I haven't re-connected my puter, I haven't decided where to put it yet, I'm doing this on a borrowed laptop, but when I do rewire, I shall follow your advice.
