Sportlov = Swedish winter sport holiday, all this week for us, so we are going to head off to the forest for a few days. Here in town the buildings don't have the same cheerful red colour as in the countryside. These buildings on the left are going to be demolished sometime during this coming year, it will be interesting so see what goes up in their place.

Have a lovely time:)
Nea,
My husband will repost a comment later. Thanks for checking my journal. Today the temperature will go to the mid 50s and I am looking forward to it. Have a nice time in the forest.
Were you also born in Sweden?
Lori
Nea,
How did you find my journal? I am new to this and do not know how to find anything...there were over 63,000 blogs registered.
Lori
Have a good'n :-)
Wish they'd demolish a few of the dumps around here
Thanks Pat, we did.
Lori, according to Wikipedia,
"As of December 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs." So it is odd that I found you. Marta Ager left a comment on my blog, and when I looked at her blog I saw your comment and came over to you.
No, I was born in a small town in the UK. Married a Swede and moved to Sweden 20 years ago.
Here it is also warmer than it was, 2 nights ago it was minus 18 C (around 0 degrees F.)Now it's only minus 3 C.
Cheers 4D, but be careful what you wish for: that BA plane that came in low a few weeks ago and belly-flopped onto the tarmac looked like it was going to do some demolition work for you.
How did you meet?
In Gothenburg on Saturday June 6th 1987, I was returning home to England to attend an interview for a teacher training college in London, from a trip to the south of Sweden. He had a week's leave and was heading for England to find parts for his Norton Atlas. We met just before we got on the boat and spent almost the whole 24 hour trip talking. We carried right on talking and by Wednesday 10th we had got onto the subject of matrimony on which we also agreed. 21 years on and we're still talking. He didn't find many parts for his bike that week, but he found a good reason to return to England on his next leave.
