Our claim to frame

Inspired by Four Dinners, on the way home after Christmas we spent a night in an old hotel. On the wall by the lift they had a list of famous people who had stayed there. You'll have to click on the picture to read them, sorry, even then with difficulty, but I may have slept in the same bed as Johnny Weissmuller or Floyd Patterson. I hope they'd changed the sheets.

Or that glamorous Marlene Dietrich. I used to love that song of hers :"See what the boys in the backroom will have....." Oh well, showing me age I suppose. Still, she really could sing, and carried on singing and working up to the time of her death, which shows the right attitude to my mind. Much love, Pa.

Abba? All in one room? Well they are Swedish I suppose.

Axel Wenner-Gren. Now there's a name you hear every day.....

Not used to 'inspiring'. You've made me blush ;-)

M&A, no, is she dead?

4D, didn't mean to make you blush, sorry, but you then you did it again, I had to go and check up on Axel; a sort of 1940's Bill Gates.

Yes I'm afraid so, about ten years ago or so. She was, I think, about 93. In Paris. Regards, Pa.
