Staying safe

Please don't worry about the Granny. We're trying to take good care of her: boiling all her water (apparently we have the parasite, cryptosporidium in Europe's cleanest water) and only letting her out with a bodyguard and in the protection of one of Santa's elves. She has to spend a few hours in Stockholm on Tuesday, but we'll wrap her up in some of the cotton wool in the background first.

I'm sorry to be pedantic, but can you now refer to it as 'Europe's cleanest water'?
Thank you for taking such good care of Granny. She looks very well, as do Santa's young elves. Please don't send any of 'the cotton wool in the background' home with Granny, we have already had all we require of the stuff this year, thank you.
Much love to you all, Pa.

Sorry, "Europe's cleanest water" was a quote from the local council's website:
http://www.ostersund.se/omkommunen/miljoarbetet.4.3f31d357118c7a4571680002272.html
They also claim we have Europe's cleanest air, but just like the water, I'm having a hard time swallowing it.

Nea...how nice that you can enjoy your visit with granny, in spite of the clean air and water! Those are awfully cute elves that you have in Sweden.

Granny looks positively cherished.

That is as it should be, Pat. the youngsters must learn that if they keep grandparents long enough, we do, eventually, come in useful.
Regards, Mike.

Cherished Pat?
Looks more like Perished to me!
Even her nice red coat has turned blue with cold!

It's falling over that's the real hazard for us chronologically-challenged people. Do try to keep Granny upright.
And have a peaceful and happy Christmas!

Indeed, we citizens of the third age break easily, especially in weather such as we are experiencing in Britain right now. It's so nice to be able to turn yet another problem into a crisis - we are SO good at that.
Take care.

Thanks Lori :) I'll be round for a visit soon.

I hope she felt cherished too, Pat. It was lovely to have her here.

Pa, do you mean that if we keep you long enough we can sell you as Anntiques?

We did try to keep her warm, GUC, we lent her a down jacket and padded trousers, but this was taken on one of the warmer days, it was only minus 12 or 15 and she chose to wear her own jacket.

Hi Jake, good to see you around, the mass media are indeed excellent at keeping us all entertained with one crisis after another :)
