Purring...

Thanks to Crowbard, I read an article a few weeks back about cats and their ability to heal themselves which was contributed to the vibrations their purring made. Don't know if it works on humans, but, just in case, Miss T has cuddled every available cat during the last few weeks. Today she had a final operation to remove the pins in her arm and the x-rays showed that her arm was mending well. No complaints this time about the care she was given, treatment on every level was very good and we were kept well-informed.

The waiting room I sat in still wasn't very clean, and the communication between different departments at the hospital is still poor. The worst thing that happened wasn't to us. As we were leaving an elderly man was not quite quick enough for the revolving exit doors. He got knocked sideways and lay trapped and alone, stuck between the doors. I ran for help, while a lady the farside of the doors tried to force her way in to help him. Eventually he was rescued, but what a stupid place to have revolving doors.

Loadsa hugs to the kid. I've a feeling she was very brave eh?

You're right about cats yer know. My Jax had to have spinal surgery a couple of years back - gymnastics injury plus scoliosis...talk about bad luck!!!

Anyroad, healing was estimated at 8 months but a combination of her being an athlete and the cats hopping onto her bed made it 3 months.

Jax swears the cats helped 'cause the purring made her feel so safe and relaxed.

There are maybe things we don't quite comprehend eh?

Besides she finished 2nd in the UK and 7th in Europe with her gymnastics so well proud of her.

5 titanium rods plus screws later and she's good as gold.

It's an SOB when its the kids eh? Glad she's ok babe x

Two very happy beings. So glad she has healed well. That poor man - thank heaven you were they to help him.

Thanks 4D. Sounds like a really rough time. Yep, it's the pits. But like Jax, she's fine again now. Just waiting for the stitches to be removed next week.

I couldn't do so much Pat, but I found some one who could unlock the doors so that people could get to him to help him. He was helped to his feet, and managed to walk out of the hospital and get in a waiting car. So hopefully he wasn't hurt too badly, just bruised I guess.
