Mummy - I've cut my hair!

Strawberry called this out from the hall. The scissors are never where they should be in the kitchen and always turn up somewhere in Strawberry's bedroom, so I wasn't too surprised to hear her call out that she had cut her hair. But when she made her appearance in the kitchen I wasn't prepared for this:

Hi Pooh!
Who is that beautiful young starlet?
Can your little Strawberry plant have suddenly blossomed into an exotic orchid?

Huge huggy loves all round!

Family legend has it that Strawberry's Granny at the age of three, retired to her chamber, and cut off all her pretty blonde curls. When her hair regrew, it grew out straight and never curled again. The truth of this story can probably be had on application to Great Gran, but Granny says it is true. Be warned, Granddaughters!!!
Love, Granny and Pa,
P.s. WV word is lopikee. Weird, what ?

GUC, she reminds me of the rhyme "I had a little nut case nothing would she bare but a cheeky grin and some sprouting hair", but "orchid" will do nicely.

Pa, I shall caution them about the possible loss of curls... I don't think they'll worry too much though.

I didn't realise she had curly hair. That smile has a hint of Mona Lisa.

She doesn't really have curls Pat, the waves are just from her plaits, which is why I don't think she'll be to upset if she loses her curls, she's got none to lose.
