Trying to stay on top...

Looking after two extra during the last few weeks has meant less time to keep up, plus both my computers are usually occupied whilst they chat with each other from one room to the other. But I have enjoyed myself and there will be tears shed when we send them home to England on Saturday. Now we have to prepare for Blondie.

Who is Blondie ??????????

Sorry. Your mother tells me they are a group who will be performing at the rave. Don't know how she knows these things. Love, Pa and Grannie.

P.s. Isn't young Freja like her Mama ? Not just in looks, but in body language. I have seen you standing in just that attitude. Fortunate female !! (Freja, that is). Love Pa and Grannie.

Well done Ma!

Pa! Blondie have been around since the seventies and Debbie Harry, the lead singer, is your age. Do try and keep up!

I have heard of Debbie Harry (vaguely). As for keeping up, I have always tried to model myself on the Duke of Plaza Torro, of whom it was said, that he didn't follow fashion, he led it. He was intimately connected with another piece of pop music - The Gondoliers. This should prove how with it I am musically. Quod erat demonstrandum ( roughly translated :- So There). Much love, your thoroughly up to date ol' Pa.

P.s. Also a founder member of the Welney Skiffle Group (circa 1958).

Hi Mike,
How long was The Cumberland Gap anyway?

Unknown said...

Sixteen miles, if I remember; but if it's like a Cumberland sausage(curled up in a flat spiral like a St. Catherine's wheel) it's a job to judge its length anyway. Cheers, Mike.

I knew somehow that wasn't Norfolk.

Crowbard and M&A/Pa, you've lost me, proving how out of touch I am!

Pat, quite right, but neither were the other shots, but you are close, they were taken in a neighbouring county.
