Granny says thes photos make her feel chilly, but it's nice to be able to see the things you can go out and see during the evening. I particularly like the dinosaur. Are those things really made of ice ? Much love, G and P.

Thousands of kilos of last year's ice transported here from a river in the far north and lit up with watts and watts of light. It's pretty, but is it art? Maybe, but the question really should be can the planet afford it? I don't think so. Much better to invest in bygones!

I guess when these creations melt, they turn into a huge puddle. Sounds like some kind of metaphor to me, Nea...

Pretty to look at - if fleeting.

They should be around for a while yet with the temperature here at minus 16C. But there is also plenty of ice here that could have been used, rather than transporting it hundreds of miles.
Still they are pretty and the kids get lots of fun out of them and then there's that puddle to look forward to in the spring.
