Scouting out

We've been testing our sails and picking wild strawberries while Miss T has been down south in Dalarna with the Scouts. Here she is eating one of the camp's specialities, a coconut toffee apple. She doesn't look very happy, but she claims that the only bad thing about her camping trip was that it came to an end!

I look forward to making the further aquaintance of your sailing dinghy. It looks very smart. And the wild strawberries look very large and luscious this year. As do the coconut toffee apples. I take it they grow wild in Dalarna ?
Love, Pa and Granny.

Love that sailboat! We used to have one...I grew up on a lake and spent a lot of time in and on it.
Ariana will be here this coming Monday for a few days (with Mom and Daniela).

Dear Freja, thank you very much for your nice letter. We are missing you, too. When you all went home it was very quiet here, although your cousin Matthew's presence helped us not to feel too lonely. It has been a lovely summer for us so far, having you all here. Please give our love to your parents and to Tuva.
Much love, Granny and Pa.

P.s. Please tell your Mummy that I know this isn't the correct usage of her comment column, and I hope she won't mind. Love, Pa.

P.p.s. Because I haven't got (or couldn't find) Mummy's email number.

They've got a sailing dinghy as well? it's not fair! We only had a hired rowing boat which was fun but much harder work. What lucky girls - when they grow up they will look back and realise what a great childhood they had - which even at my great age I still do.

A coconut toffee apple sounds interesting!

Mike n Ann, perhaps not completely wild, but way deep in the back woods is where we found them. Tim V is living next door to Dalarna now and not only do they have coconut toffee apples, but also the most amazing homemade Dutch ice cream. Next time you're over I'll give you directions.

I hope so Pat. Last autumn we had a little money over and rather than keep it in the bank we bought the dinghy. We're all still learners, but it's fun learning together.

I had a little taste Cazdok, and it was pretty good.

I always wondered why grass had that swishy bit on the end... I never guessed it was to stop the wild strawberries from dropping off!
