Lucky lucky girls!
I have just been writing about the time when my sister - brought up by three maiden aunts - no relation - was given a beautiful pot doll called Shirley who said 'Mama' and feeling hard done by as I only had a moth eaten dog called Mona.

It's not so small now if we count dolls houses :)

Do you still have your doll Margareth?

I know the feeling Pat, my older sister had a big golden teddy bear with arms and legs that rotated and he growled while I had a flat, grey bear shaped thing that I was told came free with a packet of cornflakes... But I loved mine literally to bits... It wasn't grey and flat to start with :)

I think it came 'free' when we'd collected coupons from several packets of cornflakes; and you're right, it wasn't grey and flat to start with. It was white and fluffy, and looked like a sort of Disney designed polar bear. When I last saw it - it looked like nothing on earth- but it had been much loved by then.
