Saturday skiing

We spent Saturday skiing. I spent a couple of hours cross-country skiing in the morning. I'm in training for "Tjejvasan" a 30 km skiing competition in 3 weeks time. I managed 12 km without too many problems.

In the afternoon I took the girls downhill skiing, which they much prefer to cross-country. I suppose the views and the speed are exhilerating, but I think I'd rather have the quiet calmness of cross-country.

Nea...good for you, training for the cross country competition! Great photos...is the ET in the last one?

I love the light and cross country is the only skiing I would contemplate if I were young and fit enough. Take good care of your muscles tendons and bones.

Skiing. As in snow. As in cold.

I take it there was a warm bar from where you could watch the proceedings?

If not you are very brave / daft - delete as applicable...;-)

Hi Ruth. Well, come on, don't keep us in suspense. We ALL want to know how far you skied ?????? In kilometres, but it would help if you could convert it into miles for the more traditionally minded of us.
Much love, Pa.
P.s. verification word is fervar. Whether it is trying to comment on you fervour as a skier, or to intimate that you skied further than we expected I cannot guess. Wish it would learn to spell proper, like wot we do.
Cheers. Father. Or Farver.

Yes Lori, ET came home :)

Pat, I still believe I'm indestructable ;)

4D, daft sounds right!

Pa, I didn't :( I managed 17 km the weekend before (about 10 miles) without any problems, but the Friday we were supposed to travel down I got sick... don't know what it was, blinding headache and nausea. All I could do was sleep and not expose my fellow travellers to whatever it was, so I'll just have to try again next year.
