And Pat, I was aware of course that you are a magical creature, so I was only mildly surprised that your magic included omniscience. One has to be a little careful in refering to magical powers in Nea's presence, as (A) she was born on 31st October (Hallowe'en), and (B) she is directly descended from Susan Trower, a white witch.
Well done, Pat! I don't need to use my magical powers for this one, I don't even have to use my maths. Being "official age keeper" has been the easiest and best job ever. It's the one I'm proudest of too.
I thought Gt. grandmama had given me the OK, Pa? Fingers on my left hand etc?

That was Grandma Olga's mother who checked that (according to Auntie Margaret) and yes, she did give you the all-clear.
